Knit pants

These pants are wonderfully warm, made out of soft alpaca. Or organic merino wool. You may choose plain, one design at the ankle or continuous designs around the ankle.  Several design choices are available, as well as colors. 

These are typically made out of natural, alpaca colors and any combination of these colors can be used. Since the yarn is not dyed, the white is not a bleached white and the black is not a dyed jet black. All are beautiful rich, natural colors. The pants pictured are a medium brown with a white design. The color chart on the chart page shows the alpaca color options. There is also a possibility of using organic merino wool. The wool is natural white (ivory) or I usually have some wool dyed in shades of brown.  The dye is organic black walnuts husks.  Please ask to see photos of the dyed wool that is available.

You may choose a standard size. Or, if standard sizes don’t work for you, you may provide your measurements. 

Needed measurements:

-Inseam- it is best to have someone help with this measurement

-Front rise (bottom of crotch to where you want the waist line)

-Back rise ( bottom of crotch to where you want the back waist line)- another where an extra person is helpful. 

-Around the waist ( where you want the waist line) – due to the way i knit the adjustment for buttocks, I suggest a lower waist line. 

-around your hips (widest point)

-around thigh (widest point)

If you would like a design, please leave in a note what design You would like.  You may choose to have one design, or have the design continue around the ankle of the pant legs. If choosing to have the design continue around the ankle, the strings leading from one design to the next can get caught in toes when putting on the pants. Socks help, and one design lessens the problem as well.  The designs around the ankle cost a bit more.  The design shown on the pants is the Celtic infinity knot.  You may see all the design options in the leg warmer with design listing.   If you do not specify that you want a specific design, I will make it with the Celtic infinity knit design.  If you do not want a design, you may choose the same color as your pants for the design color.  

I put a draw string at the waist to ensure pants stay up.  One pair usually contains a pound of fiber. If you would prefer elastic instead, please let me know.  The elastic used is made out of organic cotton and natural rubber and is completely biodegradable.  

Allow three to four weeks for your pants to be shipped. 

 The alpaca and the wool are very soft, yet they are animal fibers and can cause itching in sensitive areas on sensitive people.
