Long 5 panel skirt

A long, knit skirt made out of 100% natural alpaca or 100% organic merino wool. This skirt is wonderful in the cool weather and looks amazing with boots. The skirt provides the perfect warmth. It blocks the wind, and with a pair of alpaca tights or leggings worn beneath, you will stay toasty warm. It is like wrapping a blanket around you, yet you can walk and move with comfort and ease, and you don’t have to hold it up with your hands 😉 The A line quality of the skirt allows full range of motion. The seams of the 5 panels create soft points at the bottom edge, in between the natural curl of the knitting.

The natural-undyed- alpaca colors are shown in the color chart. Because these are the natural colors of the alpaca fiber the black is not a typical dyed jet black as the white is not bleached and is close to ivory in color. The skirts in the photos are knit with light fawn and fawn alpaca. The colors options in the drop down menu are all 100% natural alpaca or 100% organic merino wool.

If you would like a skirt made out of organic merino wool, the wool comes in the natural unbleached white (ivory). You may choose the white wool, or…I usually have some of this dyed with organically grown black walnut husks. Please inquire about the dyed wool available if you would like this option. I can show you pictures of the current stock. This dyed wool ranges from dark brown to gold or a light lavender tan.

This skirt measures about 33inches/84cm in length, if you would like it shorter, please let me know in a note at purchase : ) You may select a size from the size chart, shown on the chart page, for the width. If you don’t fall into the standard sizes in the size chart, you are welcome to provide your waist and hip measurements in a note at purchase. There may be a surcharge for XXL and larger sizes.

The skirt comes with a drawstring in the waist, if you would rather elastic, please state so in a note at purchase.  The elastic used is made out of organic cotton and natural rubber.

Animal fiber can tend to itch sensitive people, wearing cotton leggings or tights underneath helps with this : )
