2 layer, knit pants

Knit, two layer, alpaca or organic merino pants. Super warm, soft and cozy inside, these are the perfect winter pants! The alpaca colors are the natural colors from the animals, no dyes! Because the fiber hasn’t been dyed, the black is not a jet black, it can look dark brown in some lighting. The white is not bleached, and is more ivory. I love working with the natural colors, dying can strip the fiber of softness and warmth, and no excess water or chemicals are used in the dye process! The alpaca colors are shown In the color chart. You may also have your pants made out of organic merino wool. The wool comes in the natural, off white color. I usually have some on hand that has been dyed with black walnut husks (organic). This creates a range of brown hues. Please ask to see available dyed wool.

You may choose to have your pants be a solid color or knit with diagonal stripes. The stripes can be equal in width, or one color can be favored.  I will make the stripes equal in width unless you specify that you would like one to be favored. If you would like the pants to be a solid color, just choose the color you would like for both the primary color and the secondary color.

You may choose a size from the drop down menu or you can send your measurements. Please measure your body directly!  The measurements I will need are:

-Inseam- it is best to have someone help with this measurement
-Front rise (bottom of crotch to where you want the waist line)
-Back rise ( bottom of crotch to where you want the back waist line)- another where an extra person is helpful.
-Around the waist ( where you want the waist line) – due to the way i knit the adjustment for buttocks, I suggest a lower waist line.
-around your hips (widest point)
-around thigh (widest point)

Alpaca and wool are soft, but they are animal fibers, which can irritate sensitive people in sensitive areas of the body, such as the inner thigh. Cotton leggings worn underneath help ease the irritation.

These pants are usually made with a drawstring at the waist.  If you would prefer elastic please let me know.  The elastic used is made with organic cotton and natural rubber.  It is completely biodegradable.
