2 layer skirt

This 100% soft, alpaca or organic merino wool, knit skirt is two layers thick providing lots of warm and comfort. The alpaca is all natural, undyed fiber. The yarn is softer and warmer than dyed yarn. Because the fiber is all natural, the black is not a jet black, and can appear as a very dark brown. The white is also not a bleached white, but closer to ivory. The organic merino wool is a similar ivory white. I dye some wool every summer with local, wild black walnut husks. The one in the first pictures is two toned with a medium silver grey and a darker charcoal grey. The fourth picture is brown and dark fawn. There is a zig zag at the lower end of the skirt, which you may choose to keep or just have straight diagonal lines. A draw string at the waist helps to keep it on, if you would rather elastic, please let me know.

Available alpaca colors are shown in the color chart. You may choose to have the skirt a solid color by choosing the same color for both colors. You may choose the colors in the drop down menu.

The standard sizes are:
Small- waist 24″-27″. Hips 34″-36″
Medium- waist 27″-30″. Hips 37″-39″
Large- waist 31″-33″. Hips 40″-43″.

If the sizes are not right for you, please contact me for a custom order. There will be a surcharge for extra large sizes. You may choose to send me your measurements, or just choose from the drop down menu. The measurements i need are around your waist (where you want it to sit) and around your hips at the widest part. The skirt will be around 17 Inches long /43 cm.

Please keep in mind that this skirt is made entirely out of animal fiber which can be itchy to certain sensitive people. Wearing cotton leggings helps.

There is usually a drawstring at the waist of this skirt.  If you prefer elastic, please let me know.  The elastic is made with organic cotton and natural rubber, and is completely biodegradable.
