Shorts

Knit with all natural, undyed alpaca or organic merino wool. These shorts are great for active and sedentary people. They are wonderful for yoga, dance, running etc. They are perfect for keeping the bum warm during winter exercising, or for sitting for long periods of time, too. The natural, un-dyed alpaca colors are shown in the color chart. These colors are the natural colors of the animal’s fiber. The black can look dark brown in certain lighting and compared to dyed black. The white is almost ivory in color. If you would like the organic merino wool yarn, it comes in the natural off white. I dyed some every summer with organically and wild grown black walnut husks. If you would like the dyed merino, please ask to see the current colors available prior to ordering. The brown shorts in the pictures are knit with dyed merino. The merino also comes in two thicknesses, the thicker is sport weight yarn and the thinner is fingering weight yarn.

You may choose the length of your shorts legs…very short with a 1.5 inch inseam, the medium length has a 5 inch inseam and long shorts are about 10 inches long in the legs.

The sizes in the drop down menu are women’s sizes. I do make these for men as well…you may choose the size that fits you best according to the size chart, or you may send your measurements. Please measure your body directly! Here are the measurements needed:

Waist-where you want the waist line to sit
Hips-widest part
Around thigh-widest part
Front rise-from bottom of crotch up to the front waist line
Back rise-from bottom of crotch up to the back waist line
Around your leg where the shorts will end, not needed for the 1.5” inseam

These are knit with yarn that is 100% animal fiber and can itch sensitive people in sensitive areas, such as the inner thigh. Wearing cotton leggings underneath help to reduce the itch.

The shorts are made with a drawstring at the waist,  if you prefer to have the waist be made with elastic, please let me know.  The elastic is made with organic cotton and natural rubber.  It is completely biodegradable.
